Neither would I. I'm pretty certain the Leafs can rule out trading for any of the Pens core.

Stall was given the opportunity to prove he has the offensive skill to be a true #1 centre this past season due to injuries to Crosby and Malkin but instead of runnning with it, he shyte the bed.

Staal was never asked to be a number one center on the Pens. Perhaps you forgot his long comeback (riddled with setbacks) that streched long into the season. Pens fans do not overvalue Staal. Leafs fans don't understand the importance of his role on the Penguins.

Deal won't work out, the Pens won't give up on Stall that fast.

J.Staal is the most overrated player on HF. So there is no sense in making trade proposals that include him.

And yes, add me to the boat that wouldn't trade Kulemin for Staal straight up

And the Leafs won't give up Kulemin that fast. Not to mention Staal is not a 1st line center which completely rules off this trade.

Richards and Carter actually both got very good returns. The trades just didn't make sense because they were more of a trade a rebuilding team makes.

You respond to the guys comment (which you put in bold in the quote to emphasize that is what you were responding to) that the Canucks are the team to beat in the West by bringing up the Sharks and Kings, then you later on concede that the Canucks are the team to beat in the West. You may want to re-read your own posts.

They are the team to beat because of where they finished this year. The conference just got tougher though. So The Canucks are the team to beat but they are going to have a rough ride being the best in the conference. Better ?

Show me a Pens fan trying to trade for Kulemin. I don't underestimate his role on the Leafs. That's why I say this is a trade that isn't good for either team. Relax bud, I'm not saying Kulemin is garbage or that Staal is super-elite. Each team is built differently, and Staal isn't a piece I want to part with. Overrated or not ill keep him.
