As the title indicates, thought it'd be a good idea to have a thread where all of the Jersey and Logo talk can go. This should be a hot topic over the coming days and weeks.
I'll start with an intriguing tweet from Darren Dreger,

I haven't seen the Winnipeg Jets new logo or sweater design, but i'm told it's very impressive.
I've heard some pretty strong rumblings that the colours are going to be blue silver and black.
Also, I expect they will put a rush order on a huge amount of memorabilia before they go public with the jersey, however www.icethetics.info always gets a leak somehow so I think that's where it'll turn up first.
I'm guessing the unveiling won't happen until August some time.
I'm kind of surprised Dreger had an inside source tell him anything regarding the jersey and logo only because I really didn't think they would be too far along in the process. I figured they'd have dove heavily into the subject already with ideas, designs and such, but, this makes it sound as though they know exactly what the logo and jersey design is. So it sounds kinda close to being a finished product. I hope.

I think blue, silver and black would look very sharp. Though, if we have to wait until August, ugh... too long for my patience.
Seems like a missed opportunity with the amount of fan support represented in the stands...
Apparently it was so there couldn't be counterfeit jerseys, but why not just unveil the jersey and then just say that the jersey won't be available to the public until a later date, so fans know that all the ones on the market will be fakes.
This is the best Jets concept I've seen. Swap the gold with red, and it's easily a jersey to be jealous of. I'm not a Jets fan, so I have no real attachment to any of the old logos. As a designer, I think you guys can do better.

I find that really ugly. Hideous even. It's one of the worst concepts I've seen. The other horrible one is the one that British guy came up with.

What's ugly about it? It's simple, clean, and dynamic. It feels modern and traditional at the same time, the mark of a timeless logo. Plus, it actually has a jet (Canada's most famous jet, in fact) in it instead of some ugly typography and a hockey stick.
