Let's tank and get 5 first round draft picks to appease the people who complain they've never heard of the guys we're drafting.

We should target defensive prospects from American High-School with good grades and good athletic background !

We are clearly lacking those type of prospects ..

Imagine a scrap in front of the net with:

Subban-Subban
Subban (when Price needs a rest)

We need all three!

Funny habs went heavy on D in this year draft because next yr draft is heavy on D Prospect. as of now you could see half of the first round being D-prospect

very very good year in 2012.

another way to look at it is: since the crop of D is very strong in 2012 and most of the bottom teams went for forward this year, a lot of D will go before us so a high grade forward would possibly be available at our spot!

Yeah that's what I was thinking. If every team think it's a great year for defensemen and they all decide to build up their defense pool, all the forwards will be left for us!

On another note. Ever since Habsinsideout switched to Hockeyinsideout their Habs coverage has gone downhill. They don't even have a list of the draft choices Montreal made today!

Who wants to start predicting who will rise the most, and who will fall the most?

Wow Yakupov scored 49 in his rookie year!

Credit to TourettesGuy for making this thread. It's a great resource for finding some of.. or all of, rather.. the names for the upcoming draft.

Zemgus Girgensons came over to North America in 2008, played in the USHL and did very well. Big body centreman, plays well at both ends, has good vision and good hands, skates well and scouts are saying his potential is unlimited. He also hits very well and uses his body to protect the puck too.

If he keeps progressing, he can be a very solid pick up.

I'd like to see Frk with the Habs, but I wouldn't be surprised if he has a great season this year and becomes out of reach. I really like him.

Same here. Lives just 2 minutes from there....Can't believe that at one point, I used to go to Drummondville just to see the players live....then in Montreal....but then they are coming in an arena near me!!!!! More scouting reports to come! Add the fact that TVA Sports should have some games at one point, add the games on Vox, the Q will be covered!
