This is where I'd love to see the Habs management mentality change a little....I understand letting the guys decide and all....but geez I would let him know that maybe the CHL would be all fun and dandy....

Every Q teams would take a player picked by the Habs. Its all about marketing. I love the fact that the Euro draft is after the NHL draft. The habs could take a Euro everytime and someone in the Q will make him transfer if its possible. In this case, I dont worry so much about a player in a CZE junior league. Great pick for us. That said, this shouldn't be that sexy if others big forwards could be drafted by us in this draft. We like him because he's alone in the dark.

You guys will love this pick, especially if he can come over and play in the Q. He has very high skill level but very raw in pretty much all other aspects (board battles, defensive game, consistency, etc.). With the right coaching could turn out to be the steal of the draft.
I was hoping we (Canucks) would get to pick him.

Comparable stats is already an indication Pribyl is a special player with good upside.

Pretty sure he's still considered a big thing in Czech Republic. Then again, I'm not sure what hyped prospects usually do for Czechs.

And yes, we need to get him into the CHL. Czechs and Slovaks usually come over because of the better development system.
