Hey, I dont know if this is old news or was posted around here (I was in the field for a few days), but I found this interesting about the Medford pharmacy killer:

Quote:
David Laffer loved the military, enough to enlist in the Army seven months before graduating from high school. He loved the Islanders, enough to propose to his fiancee on the big screen at Nassau Coliseum during a game, and regularly post comments on fan forums...Laffer was passionate about hockey both as a spectator and participant. He could debate the sport forever, one former teammate said.

http://www.newsday.com/news/breaking...ders-1.2977002

He was enlisted in the army as an intel analyst for 8 years and never made it past Private 1st Class? PFC is an automatic rank after 18 months in service, including basic training. Obviously a major *******.

I wonder if he was on these boards.

So I've had my trip to Miami booked for a few weeks now. Fly down on Dec. 30th, spend new years eve in Miami, Jets/Dolphins New Years day, then 4 night cruise leaving Jan 2nd. We figured we'd look at the Heat and Panthers schedule to see if either of them had a home game on New Years Eve since that was basically the only day we could realistically go. Looked yesterday, saw the Panthers play the Habs at home on New Years eve so I was pumped, figured it would be fun to go to that game. Then I looked at the Rangers schedule again to see when they play the Florida teams since my girlfriends parents live in Florida. I see "away: Panthers" and look at the date. It's Dec. friggen 30th!!!! So my flight gets in at 7 and the game is at 730. I'm obviously gonna be late but I don't care. This is just too perfect to pass up. So, as if my Miami trip that I'm always talking about couldn't get any better, I now get to add a Ranger game to the trip

I think that HF's servers are being a bit overworked with the draft and the trades. All of my posts have been coming up double posts and HF has been really slow and difficult to use. Anyone else having this problem?

I was at a friends party last night, and I met one of his friends from his hometown. This guy is in the Navy, and he was stationed on the ship the tossed Bin Laden in to the sea.

I asked if it was real and if he saw him. He said that only a couple of people were given the job to work the funeral, and the rest had to stay inside. He said that they put a ham sandwich in the sheet along with the body before they dumped it. Trolling was had, and I enjoy the fact that the lulz were had at the expense of that *********

Genius. Hopefully that ham sandwich prevents him from getting into whatever heaven he thought he would get into.

I know how you feel, I loved high school. I love college ten times more though, so I got over it.

Yeah, I'm just laughing at everyone who says this. I'm not saying college isn't gonna be fun because it will be but in high school I basically did nothing and had fun. College is gonna be work, that's for sure.

And my summer's been meh so far. Hopefully it picks up. Nothing to do.
