Yeah, I'm not huge on Laich, either. I'm not sure why we have to go the prototypical route and get bigger and "tougher." I'm not even sure what's meant by "toughness" any more. Is it just dropping the gloves? Is it having to play a game of constant chip/chase/crash? Could we find more effectiveness by getting faster and more skilled?

I think you need a combo of both to be honest.

to soft and afraid to muck it up, dig in the corners and fight for loose pucks and stand up for your teammates you wont win the one on one battles and will be pushed around and quit

to many goons and you spend the whole game killing bad penalties and not captializing on your chances around the net or generating chances to begin with.

their isnt alot of space in the playoffs for dipsy dangling around, its get it in deep, retrieve the puck, cycle, generate chances and captialize.

Absolutely. That's what this teams needs most. Puck possession and speed. Improve the transition game, spend more time in the O-zone and less in the D-zone.
