past salaries

While talking in the Gomez thread and looking up Modano's salary from previous seasons I decided to do some looking.

Found a great site as it has past salaries up until 2007.

In the 1989-1990 season, Mario Lemiuex was the highest paid @ $2m. Gretzky followed at $1.72m, Messier trailed by a wide margin making $ 855,271.
Fast foward 5 years Lindros was the highest paid @ $3.5m.

Here's the site http://www.hockeyzoneplus.com/$8990_e.htm

kinda crazy that in 1990 the guy with the 25th highest salary in the league was making 400k and then 5 years later the 25th highest salary more than tripled to 1.4m.

It's mind boggling that keith tkachuk comes in at 3rd place for fortune accumulated between 1989 and 2007.
