Now that the drafts over, and we know where everyone landed, who got the better deal?

To Ottawa:
Matt Puempel 55GP 34G 35A 69Pts

To Detroit:
Tomas Jurco 60GP 31G 25A 56Pts
Xavier Ouellet 67GP 8G 35A 43Pts

Don't get me wrong, I love the Puempel pick. But Jurco would be a pretty decent pick. Him and Datsyuk....

The other two have a much higher chance of busting than Peumpel, at some point at the start of the season scouts were putting Puempel as a top 5 talent in the draft.

With the way Detroit develops talent, Jurco won't be on the team until Datsyuk is 37 years old.

Only saw Jurco play twice, but each time his most impressive showing was during warm-up! Totally forgot he was on the ice. Maybe St. Johns fans would know better, but he seemed like a non-factor in the playoffs. Skilled, sure. But he didn't exactly 'wow me.

Puempel on the other hand was freakin' electric with the Petes.
