Exactly what I'm thinking. Poulet now has the choice where to go. We can offer him 800k and let him decide. He put up some decent points for his ice time and fought twice or so, but he also cost us with his constant O-zone penalties. I would give him another chance @ 800k 1yr.

The Word out there is that Gorges is asking a lot for his next contract, too much for the brass taste, and that Gauthier has been shopping him a bit.

So what you're saying is Pouliot was the exception in this case?

It just doesn't make sense - unless MTL wants to talk to him about a UFA contract. I guess Pouliot really isn't worth $1.5M or whatever, but it's not that much of an overpayment for what he brought last year.

Quite clear Martin doesn't like him.

No, I meant trade him for a 7th.

Actually, my initial reaction was the opposite of yours.

Seems to me by letting these two walk, management will be looking to fill their roles by grittier players on the UFA market.

Btw, D'Agostini is UFA too. Just putting it out there. (My other post ended up last post in that page so I think ppl might've missed it).

Would like to see him play on the 3rd line with AK and Eller.

So people think they didn't try to trade him first? lol k. There were rumors they were shopping him at the draft. No one likely wanted him at 1.3.

Why are you upset over KOPECKY? Tomas ****ing Kopecky??

He hasn't even signed yet so he could still hit the market.

Are you guys pissed because we lost a player that was causing more harm than good ''despite being skilled''? He has good hands but it's been since his OHL days that he has a bad reputation and is known as a player with bad work ethic. And it showed this year. He was useless for the whole season plus all the playoffs, both this year and last year and you can even add the last part of last season.

Forget him guys, we won't win with a lazy ass like he is. He'll be an AHL star for the rest of his career.

Did this really happen or is a HF meme/myth?

Another player we gave up on way too early (including people here). I kept saying he's going to be good and no one believed me.

He was a 2nd/3rd liner last year and produced more than everyone on our team except Cammy and Pleks.

Most likely pissed because we gave away Latendresse, who had the same "worthless" vibe that Pouls has now, and turned out to be an excellent player.

He was mishandled here. All those top 6 opportunities when clearly he should have been in the AHL or Europe.
