I assume that Simmonds will step in as one of the PK'ers.

Even Kings fans say he never/never should be on the PK.

I doubt that happens. Last year, the only players on the Flyers who got less PK time than Simmonds are Walker(23s), Wellwood(14s), Shelley(4s), Syvret(1s) and Gus(0s).

Zherdev spent more time on the PK than Simmonds did

Nonsense, inflation will make it worth a 4th rounder.

Getting a 3rd for a player you weren't going to resign is pretty damn good.

I'd still rather of kept him instead of Nodl though.

Good trade. Powe will be missed though, he always played hard.

Very pissed about this.

A quick history of my favorite Flyers: Handzus, Primeau, Upshall, Richards, Powe.

4 trades and retirement due to injury.

I am actually shocked that Powe was not kept, given that he played tough, reliable minutes (especially considering his opposite winger). I know the trade is because of the new players we got, but none the less, the 4th line is not where people like Holmstrom or Read will make their money, and it is not where we need Sestito.

Oh well. Must find a new favorite Flyers, one who will be subsequently traded.

Gagne isn't on that list of favorites?

Mom was the household Gagne fan. I went to college near Princeton and picked Powe.

If he signs for less than $1m I'll be pissed. If he signs for more then I understand the decision.

A true PK kamikaze.

Powe always generated the most dangerous looking short-handed chances that always wound up as 40mph chest-snipes.

It was a valid criticism of Carter, Richards and Upshall. Face it.
