Étienne Brodeur invited to camp

He was the best goal scorer in the Q this year (53 goals)

I don't know the guy at all, but the situation reminds me a lot of Thomas Beauregard.

At 5'9, he would be the perfect complement for DD and Dumont or Gallagher !

Before I pressed the link I was hoping he would be a little bit bigger. He isn't, but I'll stay optimistic. 53 goals in the Q is nothing to snuff at.

A lot of PIMs for someone so small.

Never seem him play.

Hopefully those are fiesty PIMs and not lazy hooking PIMs.

Same kind of numbers Dumont put up. Is this guy as much of a shift disturber as him?

I think it is a justified concern. The majority of top line players in the Habs' system are slightly undersized compared to the average hockey player. Habs players and prospects in the NHL, AHL and other leagues as well.

While it is not a huge concern seeing as the Habs thrive on their speed and skill, a little bit more size in the line up (especially on the top lines) can be quite beneficial.

Relatively disappointing playoffs from him (compared to reg season and also his teammate Chaput). Sign him if we have enough contracts to give out. Nothing to lose.

If you feel comfortable with Cammy, Plekky, Gomez and Gionta as the core of your top two lines, good luck for the Series. (Don't come back with the fluky 2010 Series)

I like and admire their courage. Period.

You won't win anything significant with that

Maybe. In his draft year he only had like 30 points or something.

I remember when Corey Locke went from scoring 18 goals and 43 points in the OHL one year, to 63 goals and 151 points the next. He went on to a pretty illustrious NHL career. Good times.

After the season he just had I'm not surprised, good luck to him at camp. We will likely need to add some offensive depth, especially considering the lineup we currently have for Hamilton, granted that will change since we are early in the off season.

If he was 6'2" 195lbs he wouldn't even be available.

It isn't just habs fans.

This could end up being a steal of epic propotions. Mike Cammalleri is 5'9. That didn't stop him for putting up 40 goals and 80 points. Briere is just an inch taller. And how about Stlouis and gionta.
