Agree.

He does. And is not anywhere near a 'Ranger hater'.

People like to open up and say things without any basis.

He had just about every pick on Friday. He called Miller to Rangers as they were approaching the podium.

After the pick he went on to say how much of a good thing the Rangers are building.

He loves Kreider.

Guy knows his stuff. And hes an ambassador to the game.

Why? He's a 3rd liner at best, and leaves a lot to be desired.

With Kennedy not being qualified, it makes sense.

Kunitz-Crosby-Jagr is going to be crazy good.

Anthony Stewart is more than a 3rd liner. He had close to 40 points last year and is a power forward. he will not be as good as his brother, but I could see him topping out at around 60 points. He had 40 points on a bad Atlanta team at 24-25. For nothing but money, I would like to take a flyer.

He had close to 40 points playing prime minutes with top-6 players.

23.02% EV 9 KANE,EVANDER - 10 LITTLE,BRYAN - 22 STEWART,ANTHONY
12.52% EV 80 ANTROPOV,NIKOLAI - 9 KANE,EVANDER - 22 STEWART,ANTHONY

And 60 points? Come on. He's 25 and has had one relatively successful NHL seasons.

Anthony Stewart's game is going to come to shape soon. He's a power forward and these guys tend to take a bit longer.

He'll be a 20 goal guy..maybe 25...50+ point in a year or two. He's actually 26.

He turned a corner last year. I'm not sure how much you watched Atlanta (as Im sure it wasnt very high on most people's "to-watch" list), but he deserved the added minutes he got. He was effective and used his size very well.

Stewart had 39 points.

Antropov had 41.

Kane had 43.

Little had 48.

I know those players have more skill than Stewart, but its not like he was playing with all-star players.

I watch every team enough to know the players.

Stewart will almost certainly never be a 60 point player. He wasn't even qualified by Atlanta at 700k.

Stewart is fast, and has good size, but his hands are way behind his feet. He's, essentially, a lesser version of Scottie Upshall.

What makes you think nobody else watches other teams...
I think Stew will be a 50+ point player a couple years from now. Lots of untapped offense there yet.

Why? He is a Penguin, and always has been, not a Ranger. He started his career with the Penguins and played for them for 10 years. He
is only second to Mario in almost every single offensive category in Penguins franchise history. His legacy lies in Pittsburgh, only part a small part of that story is with NY.

Anyone else find it comical the same clueless fans who booed Jagr are now going to be cheering him? I wonder how many of their fans even remember him or saw him play

That's what bothers me about this. Normally I love it when a player returns to a team he played most of his career with. But after Jagr was traded, many Pens fans disrespected him, booed him, made fun of him for saying he was "dying alive." Some fans said they never wanted to see him in a Pens jersey again, and I'm sure they are going to eat their words now.

But Jagr is a class act and seems like he is willing to forgive and forget. Maybe he can teach Crosby a few things, like how to stop diving or crying to the refs during every play stoppage.

I dont believe that is the case at all. Winnipeg actually wants to re-sign him, they just don't want his next contract to ONLY take into account last season and want him signed longer than one year.

The same could be said for Boyle. Would you sign him if he was available for nothing but money? I would. Same type of player, except Stewart is a better fighter. Drafted the same year, big guys, physical.

I think he would be a GREAT addition for the 3rd line next to Stepan and Hagelin. Adds size and grit to the 3rd line and the team.

Boyle-Richards-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Anisimov-Callahan
Hagelin-Stepan-Stewart
Fedotenko/Rupp-Konopka-Prust

Size, skill and speed on every line.

The only reason not to qualify a guy is because you think he's worth less than either his QO or his projected arbitration award. The years have nothing to do with it.

Yep. We've heard the same spin from the Pens management that it was a play to somehow make it easier to sign Kennedy - and then their beat writer tweeted the following earlier this evening:

Quote:
Kennedy set to become UFA on Friday. Two sides still talking after QO was not made but not a lot of confidence something gets done.
