FORWARDS: Not all of them, but all of these guys are worth a look. Some more than a look....
Brad Winchester (Filler with size)
6'5 righty takes dumb penalties can pot in goals. A choice of mine
Chad Larose (Type of player that could be this year's Dominic Moore)
Feisty and seems to think he's worth more than he really is. Not a choice for me
Tomas Fleishmann (what's his healthy status?)
He's recovering and should be good for the season. Not bottom 6 material, but I think we have 6 players better than him for the top 6.
Scottie Upshall (Still believes in him...)
Can play top, or bottom 6. Good choice, habs should go after him.
Alexandre Giroux (we need to think of our Bulldogs as well...)
Most definitely for Hamilton.
Marty Reasoner (Nice speed and nice size for bottom 6)
Good player, but not physical enough
Joel Ward ( I guess that this playoffs cinderalla will sign with them)
Might have to overpay, wouldn't want in our bottom 6
Zenon Konopka (Already talked about...)
No real offense
Ville Leino (Would be a nice and solid addition)
Yes, would be, but spots seemed filled, except for bottom 6.
Alexandre Picard (no, not him...the forward....Dogs material)
Could do, but I think the team has enough of players like him.
Max Talbot (I believe he still has some mileage left...)
Not really interested. We get beat up enough
Mike Rupp (Wanted this guy for 10 years now...)
Yes, big guy not one dimensional
Sean Bergenheim (CLEARY fits the identity of this team)
Smallish player who hits, but doesn't add that extra fighting ability
Brooks Laich (Would bring something we don't have a lot...)
YES!
Matt Bradley (Always liked him despite deceiving me several times..)
Never thought of this. Nice choice.
Tyler Kennedy (Fits so much the profile of this team...)
I completely agree
Christian Hanson (just to see him succeed away from Toronto so that fans who are dissapointed of that decision, regret it even more...I mean it's our time to see ex-Leafs or ex-Bruins succeed with us.
Would be nice for Hamilton
Anthony Stewart (Clear as to why he should be with us)
Most definitely agreed
D-Men: Well obviously, are D's are pretty much settled, unless a trade happens or some other things. But for the right price, those d-men could be look at:
Joni Pitkanen
Seems to like small market teams and heard he's close to re-signing in Carolina
Jonathan Ericsson
Shane O'Brien
Radek Martinek
Ed Jovanovski
For the rest, if we sign gorges, no room for any of them.

Goalies: To me, Garon is the perfect fit. But there are others...
Mathieu Garon
Joey MacDonald
Johan Hedberg
JS Giguere (Can you play that role now?)
My choice
Cedrick Desjardins
My thoughts underneath.

Hopefully the habs management adds the players we need.

As for the UFA, I'd just like to add Fredrik Sjostrom. He's a bigger, more physical, slightly more offensively inclined Pyatt.

According to Anthony Stewart himself, he'll be an UFA on July 1st.

Age: 26
Date of birth: January 05, 1985
Place of birth: Lasalle, Que, Canada ()
Ht: 6-2 Wt: 235
Shoots: R
Salary: $632,500
NHL Seasons: 5

ASSETS: Owns a huge frame, which he can use effectively in the corners. Finishes his checks and is tough. Has untapped power forward potential.
FLAWS: Must prove he can score goals against the highest competition. Needs to keep his weight in check, since he loses speed if he's too bulky. Also must improve his game-to-game consistency.
CAREER POTENTIAL: Physical winger.

I stopped reading at the word 'finishes his checks and is tough' because I was already sold.

Where do we sign?

skimming through other forums it seems Chipchura will not receive an offer.... we'll need to send out an APB if we hope to determine - Where's Chipcura?

Also Troy Bodie will not get an offer from the Canes. Maybe a Mike Rupp in waiting if he gets a shot to play. Although he's capable of winning a fight so that puts him a head of the heavybag (Rupp) in that department.

Maybe worth a flyer on Bodie?

PRIMEUR LNH: Marc-André Bergeron signe pour deux ans avec le Lightning de Tampa Bay. Contrat ŕ un seul sens.

Lavoie says 2 years, 2 million total.

As per @JFChaumont: #Habs have submitted an offer to Roman Hamrlik. I guess his agent's loose lips had no impact after all.

People on the main board are saying that the contract is two-way.

In other news, Kopecky has signed a four years contract with the Panthers. I know that a lot of posters here would have liked him with the Habs.

Too bad. I'm a fan. I think he'd have fit in nicely in Montreal: good size, speed, tenacity, defensive play, goes to the net, battles along the boards, and can slot in on any line in a pinch. Real nice player.

What did you guys expect? Oh yeah, we'll sign Laich, Kopecky, Jagr, Gretzky, blah blah blah!

Red Wings are 100% on Wiz case but he's not good enough for us.

Unbelievable. haha.

Don't worry though, we will let Wisniewski walk and retain Spacek and Hamrlik, while adding no one to our top 6.

I wonder how many posters will blame Gauthier for not signing players before July 1st(even though he can;'t).

Aside from Cole, Jagr and Laich, there are no top 6 forwards available.
