Gameday thread: Canucks @ Wild, Oct. 18

Minnesota record: 1-3

I'm thinking it's gonna be a win for the Canucks. Maybe 4-3.

Goals by Daigle, Bouchard, Brunette.

It'll be an exciting game to watch. Gaborik and Dupuis being still without contracts, maybe not as exciting as the 2003 playoff serie between these two teams, though. If Minnesota can get the offense going tonight, I think it's going to be a close game.

I predict a 3-2 win for the Wild. Goals by Zholtok, Kuba and Daigle.

Wild get the news that Marian has resigned but he cannot play because he still has to get his working visa. After the rest of the team hears Gabbys back they go out and play an inspired game and beat the Nucks 4-2 with goals from Daigle, Bouchard, Brunette and Burns. Oh yea and the fans give Big Bertuzzi a nice welcome back to the Xcel.

Hmmm. 2-2 tie.

*shrug*

(IMO, there really is no way the Canucks should let us come close to them, but they do things they shouldn't sometimes.)

I'll go with 4:3 Vancouver. Goals by Daigle, Kuba, and Brandner.

3-3 Tie

Goals by Bouchard, Brunette, Walz

By the way, The Hockey News predicted Daigle would have two points in his first 15 games as a member of the Wild, so I'm not picking him to score tonight

I'm all for being optimistic for the Van. game, but in reality, we should be looking at another stomping like the Avs game. I hope I'm wrong, but 5-2 Van. Kuba and Walz score for the Wild.

Two in a row! I shoulda bought lottery tickets instead. I had a wedding I had to go to, so I taped the game. Just watched it this morning. The guys definitely looked much better last night, IMO. I was happy. Anytime the Wild can walk away with a point when you play the Canucks, they've played a good game. I made the mistake of not figuring on OT when I set the timer, and I missed the last couple minutes of OT. Rookie! How'd the last couple minutes look? Vancouver really had control through the third, but it looked like we played better in the OT.

How 'bout that goal by Moose? Nice hands!
