This would be awesome except no one to play with them cause we'd have to trade our whole team to get Brown and Malkin!!

top six is looking good. If we can get that elusive center.

Brown-Brown

This is all good fun btw, dont take the trade seriously.
We have no need for the guy. We have our top 6 wingers pretty much set and we essentially have two less talented versions of Brown in the wings in Ross and Biggs. We don't need to spend the assets on him

if Brown was available, he would've gone to Philly as part of Richards deal.....but he's not. Eklund may get 1 in a 1000.... And that 1 was last week. This week we're back among the other 999 odd

Brown would be fantastic. The American version of Wendel Clark basically. Not likely though.

Yeah, I'm sure pretty much any GM would trade for Brown if the price was right.

For example, imagine Brown on Kes's wing? Wooooooooooo

Won't happen.

Hence why the Kings will keep him, because he would be perfect on a line with Richards.

I believe this rumor is just because the Kings got Richards so they're stretching because Richards was captain in Philly and Brown is our captain. Richards and Brown will make a great 2/3 of a second line for us. No team will want to play against that line.

And I'm interested in Scarlett Johannson. I think I have a better shot of getting with her than Toronto does of getting with Brown.

Eklund really amazes me. He generate's quite a bit of reputation for calling the richards and carter trades. Then goes right back to square 1 at naming franchise's just so he gets more hits on his website. Are the leafs still making that HUGE! trade.........

Sorry man you may have a better shot of getting with her than TOR has getting Malkin but if I was a betting man I would bet on Tor getting brown before you get Johannson

Exactly.

Theoretically, just about every team is probably "interested" in Brown.

This is what Eklund does:

http://hockeybuzzhogwash.com/rumourgen.htm

"According to my sources within the Buffalo Sabres organization, the New Jersey Devils are willing to part with G Martin Brodeur, LW Zach Parise and C Travis Zajac to obtain the services of C Tim Connolly. Remember, you heard it here first!"

Another rumor I'll generate through the Eklund generator:

According to my sources within the Los Angeles Kings organization, the Colorado Avalanche are willing to part with RW Milan Hejduk, a 4th round pick and a bag of pucks to obtain the services of D Drew Doughty. Remember, you heard it here first!

What about our defense man and goalie?

I want Chara, Lidstrom, Weber, Suter, Schenn and Doughty with Tim Thomas being backed by Ryan Miller.

Hope Eklund is right on it to make this happen

Oh god, more Dustin Brown to Toronto rumours...

Does Eklund have some sort of wheel that he spins everytime when he feels like writing Toronto rumours? It's always the same guys.

Malkin
D.Brown
Jeff Carter

When you throw out a hundred different trade scenarios something is bound to be correct at some point. His success rate as of 2009 was 3.1% ..... http://hockeybuzzhogwash.com/

One of my favorite rumors of all time(not by eklund) was when Kopitar was getting traded for Khabibulin from Chicago and Neil/Mezsaros from Ottawa...

Eklund had the Rafalski retirement before anyone else, as well as solid calls on the Richards deal and Bieksa resigning. He's wrong way more than he is right, but that's probably because the guy is really liberal with posting what he hears. He probably has some good sources, and a bunch of people feeding him complete trash. I wouldn't be surprised if he's made some stuff up (especially after making a correct call that gets him attention), but who knows if he really has. It's really a pretty simple situation that HFBoards makes too big of a deal out of.
