There are rumours that Hamrlik's camp think the offer is too low.

What the hell are you talking about? That's a post if left field if I ever read one.

1-where have they ever said they were happy with a first round exit?

2-they have already made changes, so you post makes even LESS sense.

I dont want us to do it, i was just saying that instead of having hammer we could have mara at a fraction playing the minutes hammer would be playing.

Markov and Gorges are already huge improvements. I would have no problem to see Hamrlik re-signed (to a fair deal) and see us going with this defense next year.

Ah! I thought you wanted Mara in addition to Hamrlik.

If you really think that Mara could play the minutes Hammer would be playing, I feel bad for you...

If they do resign Hamrlik it would be 2 years in my opinion. Which would really suck. I could maybe handle one year at 3M and no more. I prefer the team go in another direction. If they sign Wiz the Habs would be stacked on defense. Our D would be be like a powerful offense. Maybe thats what they have to do since we didn't upgrade the offense. They need to ditch Spacek.

We might know tomorrow morning his answer. It seems he likes the deal even tho it's a huge paycut and he wanted at least 2 years (they offered him 1).

If he liked the deal, he would have already signed it imo.

I hope he passes and tests FA.

Hal Gill took some time over the same issue (term). I believe it was a couple of weeks that he took to make up his mind.

Hamrlik is relunctant to accept a one year contract by MA Godin

Petr Svoboda, Roman Hamrlik officer, was not bluffing: he did receive a contract offer from the Canadian. Pierre Gauthier Hamrlik has submitted an offer of a year that the veteran defenseman is reluctant to accept.

"I do not know, I get a two or three years," has given us the Czech 37.

Also from MAG's twitter

Roman Hamrlik mulls over the one-year deal Offered by # Habs goal Says He Still Hopes for a 2 or 3 year contract.

Hamrlik said he is reluctant to accept the offer of CH. MTL would like to stay but still covets a contract of 2-3 years.

@ guccipucciprada He'd prefer to get it from Habs goal IMO Will not Happen. For 2 yr deal to Happen, It Would Have To Be ridiculously low salary.

@ MARKOV_HABFAN79 He Might Get a 2 year deal From Another organization that's purpose about it.

@ Jumo52 @ 25stanley One year from 2.5-3M would be correct in my opinion. Hamrlik is aging but he plays minutes (cont) http://tl.gd/bdmks5

I really hope he wants a long term deal and turns us down. All translations by google translate.

There's no way I would be happy with a 2 or 3 year deal for Hamrlik. I'd rather we didn't sign him to be honest, BUT if we end up doing so, it better be a 1 year deal..and cheap.
