Also, say 2 players were tied, but my vote pushed one over the edge, I'd want that to be out in the open so it doesn't look like I'm arbitrarily choosing one. But in case looks like Pateryn will likely take it.
wow, Yemelin is outside our top-20 in hockey's future and here he's our third best prospect. It shows how much is put in the russian factor.
Voted for Kristo.
At the time the hockey's future rankings were done, it was more like the "25 years old russian player who has spent his seven post-draft seasons playing in Russia" factor so yeah, it played a lot. Now that we know that he'll come over, we can finally evaluate him on his skills alone to rate him as a prospect.
Highest upside of the group. 6 foot 6 frame that could be our next Hal Gill. Potential second pairing defenseman is more valuable then a potential 2nd line right winger, especially since we have lots of them.
For the ones saying Tinordi is not as NHL ready as Kristo, come back to reality. Kristo still has a lot to prove. Up in down year in college + freak accident that allows us to question his maturity.
Diaz!
He is the best prospect of the remaining players from the POV of a probability of eventually playing in the NHL - and contributing signficantly (as with Yemelin).
Kristo had 8 goals last year, in his sophomore year. I mean, I like him as a prospect and all, but come on. It's not like voting for one over the other is complete insanity, both Kristo and Tinordi had bad years.
He was snake bitten in the first, yes..
But then he had 23 points in 17 games.
He had 5 in the first 17 games.
A slow start, then he ramped it up to above a PPG average.
Alright, I said I'd call it when I got back from my rugby practice. My new coach is a psychopath, so I had to chug 9 bottles of water and throw myself into the pool. Man I'm rattled. So anyways, Calling it now.
Tinordi 76 votes, 45.78% of the vote. Adding Pateryn.
