assuming Gallagher, Bournival, Enqvist, and Nygren round out the top 10, our top ten isn't even all that bad-

Assuming of course, that Beaulieu is legit at #1...

Gallagher's back-to-back 40+ goal seasons in the WHL mean what, then? He's my pick.

The one thing that has become clear through this whole process, is how alarmingly thin we are at LW. Conboy could be a good 4th liner, and after that all we have are major projects/longshots like Lefebvre and MacMillan

Yup, as expected it gets a lot tighter here on out, I'll have to start imposing stricter deadlines.

Avtsin played in the AHL last year.

I think he would had score 40-50 goals in the CHL

I'm not knocking down Avtsin, I just don't think it's unfair to short (no pun intended) change Gallagher either.

Gallagher should be after Avtsin.

If they both meet their potential, Avtsin will be better simply because he has a wider range of skills, a bigger body and a rare right handed shot.

Bournival can play LW and we'll see what we got in Berger. If the rumors are true then Trotter's another LW. Granted it's too early to say what Archambault will turn into but we'll see as I can't recall the last Hab prospect that was picked 1st overall in the Q draft, so he's got to have some talent at least.

I don't think the vote should be based on highest upside. It should be based in highest expected contribution over the course of the player's NHL career.

In other words, if player A has an upside of being (on a scale of ten) a 9 with a 40% chance of realizing this, and the other has an upside of 7 with a 60% chance of realizing, then player A has more upside but but his expected contribution is lower, 3.6 vs 4.2.

Voting should factor in upside and risk. That's just my opinion though, maybe HF Boards standards dictate otherwise.
