As a B's fan, id say Hemsky would be a nice addition, but not what pg should be inquiring about. Imo u need a Ladd/Morrow/Umberger/Upshall type. A physical Top 6 forward. He might not have the fancy no-look passes or drop passes and toe drags that is so common with seemingly every habs forward. But I think they would change the dynamic of your team.

Shame on any Habs fan that would want an an offensive talent like Hemsky. I think Moen on the top line is just as good

Yeah, but Ladd, Morrow or Umberger won't come cheap and I don't think the Habs have the assets to that. It's no use to fill a hole just to create another.

He's soft and injury prone... but if you think he's overpaid, you better check your facts again...

Andrew ladd would be whicked. Can;t see winnipeg parting with they're captain though, especially since he's expressed his interest in staying there. Maybe upshall. But I see him rounding out a 3rd line on a legitamate stanley cup contender, so while he would be a great addition, i think we'd still need a more talented point producer or the cammy pleks line. Jagr perhaps, I think Hemsky would be fine because he's only a 4.1 cap hit and has the potential to put up around 70 points. He's also taller. 6'0, so that's a plus, and he can dumped in years time if it doesn't work out. The onyl question for me would be the price to get him. Sure as hell not giving up, tinordi, patches, leblanc, or beaulieu.

Jesus christ, some people here are freaking children.

Did he come in here insulting people? I understand he's a bruins fan, but so what? I have no problem whatsoever with that. He could be a fan of anyteam he wished to and I still will respect the guy, as long as he is not a troll/******.

While my preferences would lie with a bigger forward, Hemsky is probably the best "small" forward available (if he indeed is).

He'd be a great fit next to Plekanec and Cammalleri IMO. He's far from overpaid like some like to think, injury prone is the only potential knock on him.

We have one of those type of forwards, if only you clowns would stop throwing his head into a pole. In all seriousness though, that type of player is exactly what the Habs need more of. Hemsky's skill isn't getting enough recognition here though IMO, he's a very good player.

Seriously, he was putting his .02 into the equation and didn't put down the Habs at all.. Too much hostility around here sometimes.

I agree.

I'd be willing to give up enough (no significant young roster player like Patches, Subban or Price though).

even if I think this rumour is BS

I think Edmonton will want at least one roster player.

Gorges,Kristo and a high pick might do it

Well that would be a change: a forward thats injury prone. We already have Markov on Defense that's like that so we would have the pair! And they could get their injuries in the same game and then hang out and stuff and go shopping while they heal and make millions...

Oh Hemsky is skilled, and underpaid imo for the points he puts up. And for people thinking he's soft, he regularly gets pasted by Regehr and formerly Phaneuf. Yet he keeps popping back up and going to the dirty areas. Maybe that's why he's injury prone tho.
