If I were the Avs I'd do this, just to see how people react.

That's actually a bargain for Colorado. Tim Hortons will bring in plenty of revenue to this organization and will ensure that the Avs have plenty of energy in the first period of the game and dark circles under their eyes in the third.

Seriously, dude... if an NHL franchise bought a huge corporation like Tim Hortons they'd bring in TONS of league revenue, pushing the salary cap up and they'd be the only team who'd be able to spend up to the cap without having the owners emptying their pockets every year.

GENIUS!

Just think. After 2 years the salary cap would be up to like 120 million, but Colorado would be the only team capable of spending upto the cap.

Just think of all the teams that would have to fold because they'd go bankrupt hitting the ~80M cap floor?

Hilarious.

Great story.

Get Crosby to sign it, just to be fair.

I don't get what's so hard for Toronto fans to understand. Toronto just isn't willing to pay the high price to get Stastny. Most of their offers are trash. If they want Stastny, they have to piece together a really solid offer-- Kadri and Scrivens. Seriously. If Toronto puts that on the table, Colorado simply couldn't walk away. Unfortunately, I've yet to see a Toronto fan willing to admit that they would need to part with so much.
