After listening to Murray yesterday, yes. RT @aaronamberg: @The4thPeriodDB You think Handzus re-signs with LA?
I hope not.

and score in the shootouts. without him, we would have ATLEAST had 5 less shootout wins.

Not to mention, he's pretty much a lock to pot 15-20.

Really don't want Zus back, we have other guys who can fill his spot.

All this pales in comparison to holding back Brad Richardson.

well he is our best playmaker of course, in limited minutes last year he managed to amass 12 of the most beautiful assists in the world of hockey

Brad Richardson can score more than 70 points on Kopitar's wing!

LOL yeah. I love Richie, but I don't think he's ever going to see the sunny side of 40 points.

I want Leino or Booth or Oshie. Prefurably in that order.

Leino is this years Versteeg imo. Played on a deep team that covered his shortcomings and once he steps into a position where he will be relied upon, won't be good enough and will be seen as overpaid as he gets shipped around for picks/prospects.

I really wouldn't mind Zus back. (limited duties) He can still play though.

Don't let Kurri see that.

Oh yeah, we have nobody that can do what Zus does. They might be a center but they won't be as good as him.

We're going to be a fairly deep team up front next year by all indications, so Leino isn't exactly going to be called on to perform miracles for us. That playoff run from the prior season - his coming out party - was really impressive. Too impressive to be just the handiwork of linemates, IMO. He'd be just fine with us.

Yep. Who cares if Zeus is slow, he'd still be a major asset for the PK and 4th line. Plus I really want to see him on the squad if/when we ever make it to the big show.

Really? Mike Richards would be perfect for the 3rd line if we get Brad for our 2nd line

Day by day I'm more and more for resigning Handzus, he would be absolutely perfect for the 4th line, spot PP and PK situations. We had 2 of the best front of the net presence players in the game and to lose both him and Smyth in the same offseason might just bite us in the arse.
Penner/*-Kopitar-Williams
Penner/*-Richards-Brown
Clifford-Stoll-Lewis
Parse-Handzus-Richardson/Westgarth
*=UFA/trade/(and last resort Parse or Loktionov)

On the 3rd line with no first unit PP time?
I'll make you a friendly wager.

Wasn't directed at me, but I feel confident guaranteeing you Stoll has 15 goals coming his way. I'd make an internet promise that he hits 20.

Avatar bet at 17 goals?
Anything less I win
Anything more you win
17 is a push?
And no Syd...shootouts don't count.
My only concern is TM, he could be coaching the 2001 Avs with Blake and Bourque and would still have Stoll and his "good shot" on the point.

I think he's hitting 15 on the nose, but I'll do 16 for the fun of it. 17 is madness!
