Then there was one... lol

So i'd say there is a 50/50 chance we end up with no one going into the UFA

Still think we should signed kabs unless 4Mx2 wasnt good enough

Saw it on the main board, if he signs it becomes a 5th to Montreal.

Sounds like there was a market for rights to talk to Erhoff and Wiz but no market for Kaberle. . . It'll be interesting to see what they sign for vs what he does.

great trades for columbus this year. If it all comes together they should do very well next year

especially in the weak and soft western conference...

Unless he waived a no-trade clause, his negotiation rights being traded for a couple of days doesn't imply he even has the slightest desire to go there.

Damn, I would have had a pants tent if the Bruins did that type of deal.

Honest question: did people love this guy so much before played for Montreal? I don't remember hearing about him much when he was w/ the Ducks or the Islanders (until the Avery incident). I have to wonder if he's really as good as most of this board seems to think. (Maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention during his pre-Canadiens days)

Hard to tell considering how the #1s in front of him both stops this year went down (and thus the points). Hes pretty strong and tough for a guy with those numbers, and is young so could have a high ceiling.

Personally I don't want to know if Wis is worth money that will prevent us from resigning guys like Krejci, Lucic, Horton, Seguin etc.

Im pumped for going young baby! Don't wanna lose any of my boys from the '11 Cup run (except Ryder, Rex, and Kabs LOL)!

Kudos to CBJ, (and NYI) in trying to be aggressive in the UFA market. These teams know that if they want these guys, they have to get involved before the big dogs (Red Wings, Rangers, Leafs, Flyers, Hawks, Kings, etc) show up on July 1st.

That being said, I don't think Wisniewski or Ehrhoff have any intention of signing with NYI or CBJ, knowing the bigger market teams are out there and also intend to spend like lunatics Friday.

Nice try though.

I liked him with NYI. I was pretty bummed when I found out how little Montreal had to give up to get him as I thought he'd have been a really good fit here. Not the greatest defensively but really moves the puck well on the PP and is a pretty physical, aggressive guy as well. He's not big, but he's thick and he plays big. He's like a more skilled Ference IMO.

The difference in offensive skill isn't a 3 million dollar difference though.

The fact that Ehrhoff and Wiz had their rights traded and Kaberle hasn't, just tells me that nobody is champing at the bit to get Kaberle signed.

Columbus is gonna be a STACKED team if they can sign Wiz, Central champion potential? I think so.

He was fairly highly-regarded throughout most of the league after the 07-08 season. Was really good for the Hawks that season, and then fully came into his own when he was a Duck.

Can't agree with that. He'll never be mistaken for Rod Langway but he's also no Any Elmore.

I know talk is cheap, but saying you're hoping to get a deal done is a heck of a lot better than the cone of silence surrounding Jeff Carter after he was traded.

Touche! The Carter saga is super awkward.

Wings + Blackhawks + Predators > Bluejackets

First of all if Wiz was such a great player the Habs would of signed him as for the Jackets winning the central, they will be lucky to make the playoffs. The only thing stacked here are the odds against them
