Who's interested in doing a hockey pool this year? I want to run it through officepools.com, I'll pay the small fee. They keep track of all points, and you can check the standings every morning by simply entering a ID and Password.
Maximum of 12 entrants, and no offense to newbies but posters with at least 200 posts will get priority. This is only open to my fellow Sabres posters.
Here's how I want to do it:
12 Forwards
4 Defensmen
1 Goalie
* ~1 ROUND~ Draft in the first week of November to add one player to your team from group of undrafted players.
To make it more strategic every player MUST draft a rookie or sophmore player.
No trading, dropping players --injuries can be a back breaker, so choose your players wisely.
PTS System:
Goals =
2 PTS
Assists =
1 PT
Hat Trick =
2 PTS
OT Goal =
2 PTS
ie. "Hat Trick in OT" = 6 PTS (3 goals) + 2 PTS (Hat Trick) + 2 PTS (OT GOAL)= 10 PTS TOTAL.
Goalie Win =
1 PT
Goalie SO =
4 PTS
Goalie gets a shutout win -> 1 PT (Win) + 4 PTS (Shutout) = 5 PTS TOTAL.
No points awarded for PIM, SHG, PPG etc.
Who's interested? The draft should commence the last week of September, so we have a good idea of where players fit in to their team depth charts.
Anyone have any ideas as to the best way of doing the draft?
