We want everyone apparently.

I hope we don't go after him, I still believe expecting Jagr at 40, 3 years out of the NHL to play a 1st line type role on any team is pushing it.

It's actually a little bit embarrassing.

I wonder if they just do it to drive everyone else's prices up?

That's Dreger retweeting a Pittsburgh rumor mill Twitter account. I wouldn't get wound up.

You also may lose your ability to play a full, or close to full, NHL season.

As with anything else, it depends how much he will cost in order to determine if it's worth the risk.

great player to bring along the younger folks

sign him up for 1/2 years and we'll be laughing

i'd rather have jagr for 1 or 2 years for leadership / goalscoring / playmaking then
being stuck with 8 yr commitment to stamkos

question is: would pittsburgh boo him or not, when we visit pittsburgh
hehe

True, and the guy didn't exactly rival Bure even in his prime.

Pretty much this. Which, honestly, I don't mind. I want my team kicking the tires on all possibilities, particularly those that can make an impact.

I HATE Jagr with a passion, but I think at 40 he'd surprise people with just how productive he could be.

not a chance, he is a complete contradiction to what this team is doing. You trade two 26 year olds to get "younger and bigger" and we have have interest in a 40 year old player a few years removed from the NHL. Sure he still has skill, but with all do respect this game has passed him by, remember the Olympics, the Ovie hit says it all. No Jagr, nor BRichards building via youth and prospects. Calling Chris Shafer
