Jagr gets us bigger at least, guy is a tank. Didn't he have a couple of pretty baller games in the Olympics?

i'd rather have jagr for 1 or 2 years for leadership / goalscoring / playmaking then
being stuck with 8 yr commitment to stamkos
What? Jagr is the exact opposite kind of player I want teaching the younger guys.

I wouldn't look too much into this.

There are only a couple of teams I think he'll consider.

Jagr may be the only player I truly can't stand. Never liked him even in his prime.

He's still one of the few guys I can remember who basically called bank shots off D-men from the corners. Did it at least a few times a year.

I really wouldnt be opposed to Jagr. It seems like he still has gas in the tank, and he could come with a price tag cheaper than his actual value would be. He would replace Leino, provide more and sign for less. Still leaves us room for a Cole type player as well.

Jagr-Giroux-JVR
Voracek-Briere-Leino
Cole-Schenn-Versteeg
Simmonds-Betts-Nodl

That's a pretty full lineup. But it's probably over the cap, and I am too lazy to check it out. Just dish Versteeg if need be. Or dont sign Cole. I still think Versteeg has something left to offer.

True. I guess a verbal agreement is pretty much the same thing.

I don't know how I would feel if the Flyers signed him. I mean, I watched him when I was growing up, and man was he fun to watch. But at 39, I can't see how much he would have left, not to mention that Holmgren and co want to get younger.

On the other hand, if signed for cheap, I don't think I would have a problem with it. I think the chances of him signing here are slim though.

EDIT: Who doesn't want to see the salute when he scores a goal?

He can still play. He finished top-10 in points in the KHL last season. If the terms are right, I definitely wouldn't be opposed.

Honestly, I think Jagr is going to surprise a lot of people in terms of how well he can still play, even at 39. He's always kept himself in good shape, and his legs are retardedly strong so he should still be somewhat of a force.

That said, I still don't want him. I've never liked his attitude, at all. Don't think it fits the Flyers. Remember when he used to whine on the bench and refuse to play because Therien would work him over?

I lost all respect for him that day.

I support this just because of how much it would piss off the Penguins and Rangers.
