plus, Kurrilino won't understand your point cause he thinks Stoll is keeping Richardson from adding 15-20 extra goals.....

UFAs suck this year.

I'd be looking at Gagne, Fleischmann, and Leino but they all come with big warning labels. Eh.

Pretty much Leino, Gagne or trade now.

Not holding my breathe for Leino though.

Good news about Jokinen. No sense in wasting money on a guy whose only had one 20 goal season in his entire career.

TSNBobMcKenzie Bob McKenzie
Fleischmann, who puts up #s in potential top 6 forward role, has been told as long as he stays on medication, he'll be free of clot issue.

TSNBobMcKenzie Bob McKenzie
Fleischmann has twice had his career halted by a blood clot issue, but medical reports now say he has a clean bill of health.

His health shouldn't be an issue now that he's aware of his issues and people can deal with them. 1 year deal and go from there? I remember seeing tweets from Bobby Mac or ADater that his talks with the Avs were either non existent or not going well

Did Edmonton's medical staff tell him that? Cause they're in the same division as Colorado, maybe the Avs just let their staff take over.

I will take any of these four for 3.5 or less. If none will take less than 3.5 then I say we let the kids have a shot.

Ville Leino,

Tomas Fleischmann,

Tim Connolly,

Sean Bergenheim,

A trade for a winger is looking more likely. Booth please.

I'll kill dean if he signs Bergenheim. He's going to request a ton and isn't worth it.

i wouldnt mind taking a shot at Connelly. It would have to be a very cheap short deal though but man he has skill the 10 games he isnt hurt ha.

None of those guys look enticing for a 2nd line LW. Bergenheim and Leino would make good 3rd line RWs though.

If we're going to take a risk on a guy like Fleischmann, I'd throw Prospal into the mix. Unlike Fleischmann, Prospal has actually proven he can score on a defensive minded team, and he'd probably be more willing to take a 1 year deal.

It's coincidental, but I can't help but notice that the effect that Prospal's had on teams throughout his career:

2002-03 Ducks: 40-27-9-6 (lost in SCF)
2003-04 Ducks: 29-35-10-8 (missed playoffs with Prospal)
2005-06 Ducks: 43-27-5 (lost in WCF)

2002-03 Lightning: 36-26-16-4 (won division, lost in 2nd round with Prospal)
2003-04 Lightning: 46-22-8-6 (won Stanley Cup)
2005-06 Lightning: 43-33-1 (lost in 1st round with Prospal)

2008-09 Rangers: 43-30-3 (lost in 1st round)
2009-10 Rangers: 38-33-11 (missed playoffs with Prospal)
2010-11 Rangers: 44-33-2 (lost in 1st round, Prospal missed most of the season)

Prospal is an interesting idea. Certainly not ideal but for a one year stop gap in a time where there aren't much to choose from he could potentially be a decent choice. Or a complete disaster, who knows

I'm leaning towards taking a risk with Fleischmann, unless he demands four or more years.
