cole is coming off of making 2.9m....i doubt he gets a raise, he is on the decline.
He's coming off his best season since 06-07, and hitting a weak FA market as a 50 point forward. 50 point forwards have been commanding upwards of $4m. I would doubt he gets that much due to his age, still he may very well get a raise.
capgeek has his hit at 2.9 last year...does anyone really think he will get any more than that? I think he could be signed for 2.5.

If I remember correctly, one of his (many) issues in Edmonton was the fact that he was playing LW and is much more comfortable on the RW
Also, why does everyone keep putting Simmonds on the LW (not directed at you specifially), I thought he was a RW??? And he certainly is more than a 4th line player...
