If you're talking about Karlsson I agree.

Well there's no point in watching TSN's 5 hour coverage of the free agent draft anymore. The only reason to watch was to hope Eaves came back.

Did you guys see how much Wisniewski got? 6 year, 5.5 per...after one very good season. Talk about cashing in. Mind you Columbus is pretty desperate.

All I want from today is Ryan Shannon signing somewhere else. Anything else will just be gravy.

Yeah, it's risky but I like it more than Ehrhoff. Wis broke out with the Islanders and the Habs, Ehrhoff did it with the the Nucks. Great forward cores can inflate the numbers of "puck movers", see Tom Preissing.

Ouch...

The more resignings I see, the less I want BM to sign someone. Contracts being signed this year a pure ridiculousness.

Wow, you're a gambler aren't you?

On a side note, anybody else moving today? Here in Montreal it seems everyone in the city moves on july 1st. gonna be one crazy day. Hopefully the Sens make some sort of move to make it go by easier!

maybe... maybe not. i think with the face-lift ottawa is doing. adding him, who's still young on a team where many kids will be fighting to stay with the big club might get his game comeback.
he has never been spectacular, but i've always kinda like him.

we all know the Daigle argument, here in ottawa, but he's still a former 4th pick overall. i like his game. and i wont be sad if he sings anywhere else. i just wouldnt mind him playing here. with the right contract of course

Why does everyone hate Shannon so much? Guy gave 110% every shift out there. No matter where he goes, hope he sticks with an NHL squad and plays consistently. If he re-signs with us in the end, wouldn't mind it at all.

i've always had a soft spot for shannon and i think he's a solid little player, but with all the young forwards we have coming up now, i don't think it makes sense to sign him. that spot is better saved for one of the kids who have a chance to be stars in 2-3 years rather than shannon who is just a decent body for now. shannon will never be able to be a key part of a contending club.

Don't understand that philosophy, if the young player isn't good enough to beat out Ryan Shannon for a starting lineup job, then obviously he shouldn't be here yet, its not like they're competing against Spezza for a job. Guy's shouldn't have spots reserved for them just because they're rookies, go out there and prove you should play over Shannon instead.

My top 2 choices have been re-signed by their teams (Jokinen and Laich), on that list I wouldn't mind Fleischmann. If Gagne wasn't an injury concern I'd consider him.

I like Connolly @ center, but he'd be a risk obviously...

Like others i would mind Fleischmann either. I hope we can get one of the 2, tbh..
