top 5 draft pick here we come!

Retirement plan? Played only 32 games last season. Were going with Clemmer-Theodore?

Not liking this signing. Would have rather him go after Jiggy if he couldn't get Vokoun!

I don't really like this signing at all. Theodore is a shadow of his former self and is not very good.

I don't like seeing Vokoun go and especially for a guy like this. It's ok though it's still early i just don't particularly care for this signing.

Not what I was expecting, but he was actually pretty good last year for the Wild. Guess Vokoun wouldn't take a "hometown discount", and his agent knows he's going to get huge offers elsewhere. Good luck Vokie, you will be missed.
Now...Tallon you better step it up here!!

theodore has changed his style the last few years , I think he could be good providing the defense in front of him does their job and the offense is there. Clemmer improved by seasons end so, you never know . I am not going to trash this deal until I see are final roster and how we perform once the season started. Dont forget clemmer has one year left , Markstrom could come in next season with theo being back up

Looks like were going into the season without a starting goalie for the first time in YEARS but this time neither goalie has potential to even step up to be that starter

a bunch of people over on the main board say he played well for the Wild last season, and one guy says he played as well as Backstrom. He was 15-11-3 with a 2.71 GAA and a .916 S%
Bakstrom went 22-23-5 with a 2.66 and a .916 so they were very comparable.

I think he may surprise some people so long as we don't try to start him 60 games.

Dale Tallon and "not enough money" rarely come together in the same sentence.

I wonder how long it is until someone makes a thread about how Theodore will bring in all the French Canadian fans.

Agree. Luckily it worked out for Guds, and now the Panthers have no issue signing him to, essentially, whatever he wants.

Also, on the Vokoun topic, i assume the difference was on length of contract. We wanted no more than 2 years, and Voky probably wanted 3+.

I'm somewhat worried with this signing and very sad to see Vokoun go, I wish him all the best. However, a lot of us were worried about Belfour and he nearly got us to the playoffs. We know what Theodore is capable of, and hearing he succeeded in Minnesota is good to know.

It's a dangerous tandem but it could work, you know if we have some actual offense...

That and his name is "Jose" which inevitably will cause someone to say "instant draw from the Latino community"

Yormark will offer him an extra $500k if he changes his last name to "Canseco" or "Marti" LMAO

Seriously? Theodore's been much better than Giguerre recently. He actually did a good job with the Wild...a mediocre team. I think some people are overreacting.

I'm glad we didn't overpay with a goalie. Everyone always complained about that...now we have two goalies capable of platooning on the cheap until Markstrom is ready.

Big difference. Gud has played 0 NHL games and from what has been said his agent was probably seeking the max.
