Gauthier probably had a long night of pre-Canada Day partying last night. Time to wake up!

@ 3M$, and with the cap space we now have, i really REALLY hope that PG & co. offered a bit more and Jagr simply chose to go elsewhere.
1 year @ 3.5M would have been fine, well worth the risk/reward.
just please please please don't get desperate and throw more money at lesser players goat... PLEASE!

Lol Jagr really wants to be hated in that division. Signing with the Pens, Rags and now the Flyers?

It was more of a sarcastic post.
Point being, time for Gauthier to wake up and do something.

Jagr would not have fit in with the Habs. He is mediocre at best defensively. But he could have helped our offense a lot. Oh well, hopefully we make a nice signing today.

Wow...
Pretty disappointed in PG. Loser.
Actually, this is the most disappointed I have felt on this day.
You should have given the Montreal fans Jagr.

I was always mellow about Jagr. He's not what we need, but he is a great talent.

I'll be curious to see just how Jagr fares in Philadelphia. So far, Montreal hasn't done anything...

Even the TSN alalysts said that Jagr would be ok for 20 second shifts then struggle...yeah taht's who we want to add...
If Shero and Holland wanted no part of him he won't make an impact next year other than PP which we have tons of weapons already...give me a Cole or Langenbrunner that can do the dirty work for Cammy and Pleks.

you think Gauthier should have offered more than 3.3 million for Jagr? Seems a little much.

Can't really hate on PG. Maybe Jagr just doesn't want to play here, regardless of Pleka connection. Who knows.

What did you expect? We have to avoid long term deals while Gomez is on the cap. We need to get at least 2 new D-men next year plus re-signing Subban. We have $13 mil to get two bottom 6 guys and one top 6...Not exactly huge numbers.
I would rather the Habs be quiet this year and be able to get some good pieces through trades or next year when the market is more open.
