If Sather was talking to Jagr's agent today, do you think Steve Zipay would get a call from Sather saying "hey guess who im talking to?" The less teams who know the Rangers are in the Jagr mix, the better for our chances of signing him. The only way it gets out that we're interested is if his agent leaks it, and Sather + Svoboda may have an agreement to not disclose that information or the offer comes off the table. This is pure speculation, but Sather may have asked him to wait until they sign Richards to see how much space they have to give Jagr as much as they can.

I just heard on the TSN radio that Jagr signed in Philly...I'm working, so can't spend time to find a link, but maybe someone else will be able to find one

Jagr isn't in NHL standards anymore. He should retire and let us think he's still good rather than come back and remove the doubt that he's not and make us hate him. The expectations would be too high for his return, he shouldn't come back.

No problem with him going ANYWHERE but Isles, Flyers, Debbies.

People are surprised that Jagr cares more about money than loyalty? After his act in Washington? After he refused to come back to the Rangers unless he was paid like "the man."

LOL.

Jagr is one of the greatest players of all-time. But he's all about $$$, and he always has been.

They are all about cash and you and I would be the same way. Loyalty is only a fan thing.

As I recall, Pittsburgh withdrew their offer and the Rangers failed to make one. It's their fault. Jagr had every right to sign with the Flyers.

Loyalty to what? Who exactly does Jagr need to be loyal to?
