I usually agree with you chariot, but at 3.3 million I bet Jagr would be top 5 in scoring on our squad next year, and he'd be like 10th in salary.

Jagr, Richards, Gaborik would have been one hell of a powerplay.

To the Penguins, where Jagr said "his heart" was at, and who he clearly used as a negotiating ploy. I'm not blaming him, I'm just sick and tired of hearing what a great leader he is.

Jagr and Pronger in the same lockeroom?? Good god it's gonna get ugly.

Pronger is going to be suspended for shots to the head on his own teamate.

3.3 might be worth the gamble... if you do not have to resign Cally and Duby.

The irony is the dead space in Drury money could've gone to Jagr

Nobody in our squad can knock him over. Jags is a wall.

Great moments in fan naivety

You really expect players to care about team rivalries when making signing decisions?

Jagr is very loyal... to the Atlantic division. Only the Isles and the Debils left to go.

We can re-sign Brash, because he took a run at Jagr and hurt him when he was a Flyer.

yes, our guys should definitely run him for not considering how much the Rangers fanbase dislikes the Flyers

When Philthy traded away Carter and Richards, I was very hopeful that they just got much weaker. Then they signed Bryzgalov. Now they signed Jagr.

I am not sure that Carter+Richards>Voracek, Schenn, Simmonds, Jagr and Bryzgalov. If nothing else, they got deeper and better defensively. Depending on the performance of the rookie Schenn and the elderly Jagr, they may now be a stronger team than they were a couple of weeks ago.

Why you heff to be mad? We likely over payed for him and he's probably not even going to be that great. Some guy on twitter hit the nail on the head, we're turning into the Mets.

No different then you calling us the Rags. and 3.3 for Jagr isn't even that much of an overpayment.

and ouch on the Mets potshot.

Deeper, maybe. Better defensively, no way. Briere and Giroux as our #1 and #2 is a big big drop off in defense from Carter and Richards. I guess you're right though, a lot likely hinges on the performance of Schenn and Jagr.

I never call you guys Rags (.....to your faces). The Mets thing wasn't even meant to be a potshot. I always forget how much of a following they really have. I always associate New York baseball with the Yankees, perhaps unfairly.

I would run him because it takes out a legitimate scoring threat.

I had to take down my Jagr desktop background. The Flyers? I was set to love him again wherever he chose to sign. THE FLYERS?

This stinks. Of all the teams, he had to sign with Philly. I could have even rooted for him if he were a Penguin, but not a Flyer. Yuck. I'll always appreciate him for being part of bringing the Rangers respectability again, but this stinks.

Oh well, if there's a positive to come from this, it adds a nice little element of drama to HBO's 24/7 and the Winter Classic.
