No problem with massively frontloading the Richards deal. That just makes it better for us in the twilight of the deal.

Yes they overpaid, but he will be a top-ten goalie in a year or two. Colorado made a ballsy move, but I think it will pay off in the end. I'd much rather have Varlamov than Vokoun if I'm the young Avalanche.

I did a 45 minute run before 12:00, I think I might go out again to relieve the pressure/stress/excitement/boredom whatever it is today is doing to me.

27 signings so far in two hours and change. 30 last year in our entire 6-hour show. #tsn

Smoking a cigar laughing at all the desperate teams.

Like someone said before, these are all teams that don't play with the big boys. Now they are and they are looking like rookies acting so desperate while Sather sits back and laughs and just waits patiently for his turn to swoop him up at the end.

I'd much rather have Yakupov, Galchenyuk or Grigorenko than either.

Leafs spent an hour with Richards, Pat Morris and a variety of Newport reps. Nonis, Fletcher and Loiselle presented their offer.

LOL anything portraying Sather as intelligent when it comes to free agent signings is just hysterical. History tells us otherwise...

i woudnt mind giving richards the max for a year maybe 2, that would be perfeect, then give richards 4, 5 or 6 the rest of his contract.

The Rangers are letting all the other teams field their desperate presentations first.

Then theyll let Richards head stop from spinning and then come in relaxed, calm and cool and give Richards the best presentation hes going to see today. They know Richards wants to come to NY. They are letting him come to them in a sense. Its a good tactic. I could even prove to reduce the terms.
