Yep, agreed. I don't mind the signing at all.

Two years and a little less money would have been better. I think the Rangers might still go after Fedetenko. Rupp is more of a winger and I don't see why Boyle moves to the wing from center because of this.

Rupp can hang with the heavyweights and he can play and occasionally score a goal. He actually has pretty good hands--at least when he's played against us in the past.

Would like $1m per instead of $1.5 per. He is much better than Boogaard or Breasher. He is more along the line of Prust.

I'm fine with this we address our heavyweight issue, with a guy who can actually play a regular shift. slight overpayment but I'm fine with overpaying by 300-500k

I don't feel 4th line players should make millions. I don't get Sather loving spending money on the 4th line.

With the market this year, they are lucky they didn't have to give him 4 years 8 million, which is what I was a bit worried they would do.

Finally we got a guy who can fight and play.

Bye Bye Fedotenko...a redundant signing I think, and three years is too long.

What about Weise and Hagelin filling out the bottom 6?

At least he'll help take some of the load off of Prust

I would've been much happier with Konopka

Yeah I guess Feds is done here. I dont think it would be wise to give another million dollar plus deal to another bottom 6 player.

Rupp can center the 4th line. You can move Boyle to third line wing.

I'm sure Dagoon will love this signing.

I'm OK with it. Really liked Feds though.

We needed another guy who will fight. Can't let Prust do it by himself again next year.

Guys, we're getting a younger and faster version of Fedotenko in the lineup this year in Hagelin. Not high on the priority list. He might be a Torts guy, but there are more pressing needs that need to be filled.

I like this signing. I also would have preferred two years but that isn't a big issue. I've always liked Rupps game. He can take a regular shift and not hurt you.
