Konopka and Talbot on the same line would be funny after Konopka pretty much owned him last year in that game haha. Our team does not seem too physical right now though and that has to change or it will be another quick exit out of the playoffs

Let's put Schenn in the AHL for the year and pick up Brad.

Maybe? You never know with Homer.

Yeah, I watched most Jackets games this past three years... He just rush into the offensive zone, then brakes and attempt a dangerous pass. When he succeed it's an highlight reel assist, when he does not thats a terrible turnover. He always do that.

Yea...our team definitely doesn't look too physical. The top 2 lines seem kinda weak (size wise), we have Hartnell and that's it. Hopefully JVR will start to become more physical and use his size to his advantage.

I can't see Gagne being affordable because of the precedent set by the ridiculous contracts given out today.

I'd be very happy with that

I would agree, except I don't think any of them carry the same type of injury concerns as Gagne (Cole's not durable, but I don't think he's ever had severe concussion issues). The health scares could drive Gagne's price down into our range (approx $2.5M after accounting for what Simmonds likely gets).

A healthy Gagne could be one of the best bargains available on the market.

healthy is a very very very important word there. he is about as damaged goods as you can get on the FA market. just because he is simon gagne doesnt meant we bring him in. if this was any other fa, the logical part of us would say HELL NO.

Health is the variable that makes him a bargain, though. I am not saying they should build the offense around him. If he can't stay healthy, they can find another stop-gap. If he is healthy, it's a tremendous luxury.

2nd line. Briere-Schenn-Voracek

3rd line. Hartnell-Couturier-Simmonds

4th line. Talbot-Betts-Nödl

1st D-pairing. Pronger-Carle

2nd D-pairing. Timonen-Coburn

3rd D-pairing. Meszaros-Gustafsson

I don't know if Nodl or Simmonds can play LW, but that's where I put Nodl anyways. Holmstrom and Read are or were centers, and I don't know if they can play wing, but the rest of the AHLers are LWers.

Hartnell-Briere-Voracek
JVR-Giroux-Jagr
Nodl-Schenn-Simmonds
Shelley-Betts-Talbot
Holmstrom/Read/Wellwoood/Rinaldo/Sestito - I'd prefer any of these guys over Shelley

Pronger-Carle
Timonen-Coburn
Meszaros- Gustafsson/Bartulis this is my preference but I don't know if it will happen.
