With the Caps in need of a goalie, the Flames in need to shed some salary, could there be more to this rumor?

It doesn't make much sense to sign Richards and trade away your #1-goalie without having a solid 1B. Stranger things have happened, though...

Logic, there is none.

Just makes no sense, signing Richards would make us a contender. Trading kipper would make us a lottery team

I see the points here about moving Kipper but I do not agree... honestly do people think KArlsson / Irving (no NHL games) are good... (you can also replace another name there). Kipper is here for at least this season. Back to the pool it is 46 degrees in the desert.
