As of now this is what the lineup would look like IMO but I think we can add more pieces to make the team better.

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Cole
Pacioretty - Gomez - Gionta
Desharnais - Eller - Kostitsyn
Moen - Engqvist - White

Markov - Gorges
Gill - Subban
Yemelin - Spacek

Price
Budaj

Extras: Darche - Weber

Gionta and Pacioretty should be swapped places on that second line.

Otherwise looks good to me!

Until the Habs add a depth forward and a depth d-man, I think this is more likely:

Cammalleri Plekanec Cole
Pacioretty Gomez Gionta
Darche Desharnais Kostitsyn
Moen Eller White

Markov Emelin
Gill Subban
Gorges Spacek (Weber)

Price
Budaj

I'm pretty excited to see what Price is gonna do next season. Love that guy's atitude as of late, seems like he's matured all-around- laid back and confident.

I don't think Cole will play with Cammy and Plek. On Tsn they were saying both players are much better on the right wing. And Patches is good on the left side. So I see Patches up with Plek and Cammy then Cole With Gionta and Gomez.

We need grit and toughness on our 4th line.

After that, i'll be happy.

You forgot Darche in the mix... I would doubt Enquist will be there... Also I would like if we could find a way to depend less on Gomez perhaps starting the lineup like the one you have and finishing with something like this...

Cammalary, Plekanek, Cole
Pacioretty, Eller, Gionta
Desharnais, Gomez, Kostsitsyn
Moen, White, Darche

Markov, Goerges
Gill, Subban
Emelin ,Webber *** for some reason I have a feeling Webber will get the spot of Spacek before year end.

But Gionta is also a Natural RW, Cammalleri can play both wings but he is pretty good on the Right side...

Paciorretty, Kostsitsyn and DD would all play LW IMO... So perhaps it will be ...
pacioretty, Pleks, Cammalleri
Kost, Eller, Cole
DD, Gomez, Gionta <=== they played well together in the playoffs...
Moen, White, Darche

I'm definitely more excited about our line-up this offseason than I was last offseason because of how we have a lot of young guys filling in holes. Pacioretty could very well be a 50 pt. player on a full season. Eller showed us what he was made of last season and based on what our line-up looks like I could see him playing with AK and I think those two make a great pair, and top that off with our little firecracker David Desharnais I think we have our most well-rounded line-up in years.

I wouldn't say I'm ecstatic about the contract we gave to Cole and I don't know if we're a cup winning team, but we're definitely a solid team now. I'm also very excited about our defensive line-up.

A few predictions:

- Subban and Markov will both play full seasons, and will both hover around 40-50 pts.
- Pacioretty scores 30 goals.
- Cole scores 25
- Eller gets around 45 points and shows us that he's really going to be a great player for us for years to come.
- Price struggles a bit at one point this season but picks up his game and more than makes up for it.

If Gorges is part of the team, and Gauthier mentioned him at the Press Conference, then why does he keep saying we have only 4 players from prior to June 30 2009?

We have FIVE:
Price
Markov
Gorges
Plekanec
Kostitsyn

Darren Pang, who suggested it, does not get to watch a lot of Habs games during the year. Cammer plays LW. That's where he's played predominantly since joining the Canadiens. Even when Moen was placed on the line, Moen played on his off wing.

Furthermore, I would not understand why JM would want to break up the Gionta, Gomez, Patches line, at least early in the season. It was so successful last year.

So I'd have

Patches Gomer Gionta
Cammer Plecks Cole
DD Eller (when back) AK46
Moen XXX White
Darche

With the XX player being determined later (Konopka being my preferemce).

Maybe he doesn't consider Price a player since he's a goalie?

You can add Pacioretty to that list.

I'm totally excited to see this team. If Cole, Pacioretty and Markov are healthy for the better part of the season and playoffs, we're a contender, no question. Cole and Pacioretty will do what Horton and Lucic did for the Bruins lineup: make all the smallish players play and look bigger. The signing of Cole changes the dynamic of the entire team, not just a line. Even if he fails to put up the points, his physical attributes and work ethic will have positive effects on the team. That's what bigger scorers do, they create space and opportunities for smaller guys to produce. All we need now is a bottom 6 guy who can fore-check effectively and score. With Bergenheim gone i see Konopka and Stewart as potentials. It's pretty slim picking for those types of players, unless you want to overpay for an older guy like Grier or Niedermayer.

It was offside, so there's a point to be made there. However the reality is the Bruins won the game. Did they deserve it? Perhaps, but would have deserved it more if the wining goal was onside!

I like that now we have 3 big wingers that are legit scoring threats on different lines.

Pacioretty finished the 08-09 season in Hamilton, and did not play a sufficient number of NHL games for the season to count as an accrued NHL season. I'm sure Gauthier counts him as a youngster who made the team as a permanent player during the two years since.
