the trib said...

the habs are wearing throwback unis against the original 6 teams, so the wings asked to wear red so they didn't need to bring two sets of jersey's. it is somewhere at www.penguinslive.com

Yes, that's what happened.

I don't know about you guys, but I think the home/away switch is dumb.

Yeah, I would prefer white to be home and dark to be away. As far as the switch, I was really confused at the start of the game too. My friends and I were trying to figure it out.

Also, just wondering, does Lemieux not warm up with the team regularly? I didn't see him on the ice for warm ups and thought maybe he was sitting for some reason. (Don't ask me what......)

Flipping from light-to-dark for home is not dumb to me. What is dumb is the fact that basically every team (save the Wings) goes through a massive jersey/logo/color makeover every three-to-five years. No other sport has had this many changes so frequently - when you are struggling with identity problems, you don't keep changing your outfits. But of course, it is a money making scheme to make suckers like me shell out $300 every couple of years for a new jersey.
