I think it's a bit overlooked, but I don't see where Christensen fits on this roster now.

Unless we are cutting bait with Avery or Wolski (or MZA doesn't make the team), Christensen has no place.

Sestito still on the make a wish tour. - rholt168 "Okay, Joel. You've had your fun. Give your brother his pads back." - Trxjw
3 years. I give this guy and his concussions in this division 3 years. I'll be shocked if he makes it past that.
Let's make it exec of the decade !
9 years. Day one everyone is celebrating like the Cup is in our grasp.
Different here indeed.
The signing isn't about how BR will perform in year's 7, 8 and 9. For the next 3-5 years, we have a legit C who will instantly make those around him better. Not to mention role players can actually play their role, and not be forced to play top 6 minutes.
The Bruins' team structure and philosophy is not that different than the NYR. We're a piece or two and within a couple of years away of becoming serious Cup contenders. So, yeah, celebrate this signing and cheers to Slats for not overspending.

Here is to looking at a 37 year old piece of ****...great deal...you guys are smoking crack...
He now settled in, cash out and play medicore hockey...you guys are blind...we do the same **** every year and every year you guys love the move...hello Chris Drury part 2.
4 years from now, everyone will be like, why didn't it work...what went wrong..
I wonder who gets a contract offer or traded away now, maybe Sauer, maybe Dubi, maybe Boyle, maybe AA...but who gives a ****...we got our overpaid "superstar".
I wonder how much drive he will have when he is 35 and has collected 40 million from us...maybe he can open up a pizza shop or a fancy resturant...welcome to NYC.
Prove me wrong.
Not only are you absolutely clueless, as usual, but you offer up the most predictable comments that someone who has no idea what they're talking about would. Love it. Only someone who has zero ability to evaluate talent would compare Richards to Drury.
Aren't you ashamed that pre-teens on this website routinely out think you?
I had been on the fence all along about Brad Richards, leaning towards "no." Too many years to this deal, but the cap hit is fine. I've always liked Brad Richards the player, so I'm excited to have him on board.
We are legitimate cup contenders! So excited! This was already a good team as it was and now you bring in an elite talent like Brad Richards? At a cap hit that opens the door for further augmenting the team?
This is fantastic! Welcome to the greatest city on the planet, Brad!
