Fine by me. Dupont had no future here, and one can never have too many Swedes in the system.

Pretty lateral move. Thuresson is a physical guy. Decent skater. Seemed like a capable 4th liner in the few games he was up with the Preds last year. (I live in Nashville and watched quite a lot of their games last year)
He's also one of the guys who the NHLPA filed their grievance on behalf of. I wonder how that works with trades.

Another Swede!
Awesome!
Dupont was a career AHLer. Nothing wrong with trading him.

And the problem is?
If it was stuck on any country, I'm glad it's Sweden.

Thuresson-Richards-Gaborik? Has the potential to be an elite first line.
(by the way it feels so good actually being able to slot Richards on the top line.

I had a completely unreasonable allegiance to DuPont. So I'm a little upset haha

HF Profile on Thuresson:
Talent Analysis
He's a two-way player who shoots right, has good size, is aggressive and plays physical and has decent offensive skills.
Future
Likely to become a very capable role player at high level.
http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospec...reas_thuresson
We love our two-way role players, and apparently now love Swedes. Where is Ola? He might be able to fetch himself a contract.

Sounds like we got the Swedish Brodie Dupont. Probably like others have said a change of scenery for both.

This is a good move. Dupont was really going nowhere in this organization. Looks like a good, physically center for the Whale.
Above poster, Soryal wasn't offered a qualifying contract. He signed with Carolina.

Hagelin's english is fine and he's been at an American university for 4 years. Don't think he really needs the cultural help
