Anyone else still depressed about Boston winning?

Depressed is a big word.. but.. I am trying to put it at the back of my mind and forget it ever happened.

It's annoying that a goon team won the cup.

On the plus side, the Habs are still moving forward.

But the best way to avoid being depressed is to have lots of other good things going on in your life. Don't be too obsessed with hockey or any particular popular culture thingimajig man, you'll have a life of high highs and low lows.

Nope. I hope it woke up our organization to push harder to win now.

No.
Sure, it sucks they won but it made me realize Habs need to take care of their business and we as fans should just worry about our teams success/failure.

At the end of the day my everyday life isn't affected by Boston winning.

Not really.

In retrospect, other than the Habs winning the Cup it was probably the best thing that could have happened to me. I've seen my most hated rival win the Cup... And what? I still like my team, I'm still excited about hockey, very excited about the future.

I've seen the worst and survived. It only gets better.

Unless they win again next year.

Never was depressed.

I remember I was laughing in front of my TV when the Bruins won the Stanley Cup.

It's really only hockey afterall.

No, but I still hate them and I'm so glad that with their available $$$ for a good D they were not able to get one because they all signed before reaching UFA

Now, the best available is Kaberle and he we all know how great he fits in there

Not depressed at all.

Boston winning is not a bad thing for us. I think it lit some fire under management's butt. They're finally realizing that we need to balance the roster with more size and physicality.

Nope.

Makes me realize that if they can win the cup, we are not that far from winning it too.

I am still angry. When I watch the HNIC opening on some streaming site next year, I will expect that gargantuan little punk named Chara will drive me IRATE.

I've struggled through all the steps of grief and depression following the Bruins win... I've gone from denial, to pain, then anger... I'm at the acceptance stage. Looking forward to kick the **** out of them next year.

I've alcool destroyed all the brain cells responsible for this memory. I only have a vague recollection of the last few moments of the SC final now. In fact, to me it didn't really happen, as far as I know, it ended in a tie.

You should be HAPPY! Vancouver is a much bigger punk team than the Bruins; you just don't get to see them much so you don't realize. Kesler, Burrows, Bieksa, Luongo, Vigneault, Rome, Lapierre, Torres (when he was there)....the list goes on and on and on. Marchand, Chara and Lucic would seem like child's play in comparison.

There are upsides to the Bruins win...
1) Will fuel the rivalry we have with them.
2) Probably better for the NHL that a big market US team won.
3) Puts alot more pressure on Habs mgmt to ice a Cup competive right now.

Agreed.

The Montreal Canadiens are the crown jewel of hockey.

When Habs win it is bigger than hockey itself...

It is the resurrection of the ghosts of mystical eras and more...

As far as Boston goes?

They were a beatable team, but Thomas was undeniably hot. They got lucky.

A Boston cup had to happen sooner or later. Besides, it is only their 6th cup in 86 years

It was fun cheering against them but why should it matter if they won the cup? Unless you know a lot of Bruins fans in real life you really shouldn't care.
