He signed to play in Sweden for this season. His future? If you look towards next season, the Rangers will have a great influx of talent entering the organization between some of the college seniors and 2004 picks which need to be signed by June 1,2006.I'm not sure if Jonasen has a future with the Rangers

He signed with Almtuna in Sweden Tier-2.

I'm not sure Rangers are willing to give upon him just yet. His a big player that can score, and you don't see so many of them around (I may be wrong about Rangers though offensive prospect depth though). As many swedes, I see him as a late bloomer that can turn out very good. Will be very interesting to see what he can do in Sweden this season. I'll try to catch a game or two when he is playing.

I'd like to see the kid come over and play in Hartford

I don't think that Tier 2 is in his best interest.

If he were to have signed on with a team in the SEL I may be singing a different tune, I just think that he'd develope better by playing him Hartford thsi year coming.

Great charachter guy that pretty much played in every situation with his Jr. as Captin.

I'm guessing they have given up on him already...they could've offered him a contract to play in Hartford and appear to have elected not to. My guess, he doesn't have enough talent to be an NHLer
