Look for the market for centers to pick up once Richards signs. RFA Artem Anisimov will re-sign with Rangers once Richards deal is done.

What do you guys think the deal will be? Something like 2 years 3.8M perhaps? Get it done!

This is Artie's 2nd contract. Expect similar terms to Dubinsky and Callahan-- so 2 years, 3.8 mill is about right.

He'll be resigned but that won't stop you crazy people from trying to trade him every other hour.

Arty is the man.

I don't want him traded. I think he's on the verge of breaking out...

He is on the verge of breaking out, but that doesn't keep him out of trade rumors. Saw him being sent to FLA for Booth yesterday silly fans.

This can't be true, the trade board tells me the Rangers don't develop players.

It's because NYC is such a bad place to raise a family.

Alright well Richards is about to sign so Glen should start working on Anisimov pretty soon.

I'm wondering if they already have an agreement in principle and were just waiting to see how the Richards contract worked out before being able to sign off on it... I can't imagine Strickland would have tweeted that if they still had to negotiate a contract with AA, because there would be no telling how long it would take to get it done.

They may have some minor technicalities to work out if true, but they have the general deal in place I would assume (predicated on the fact Strickland was right).

They probably worked on Anisimov's deal yesterday while waiting for Richards, and I'm sure the Richards contract has a lot of technicalities so it takes a long time to work out.

Time for Artie to get his first payday as a NYR. Here's to many more to came, at a reasonable cap hit

1.9 million per season wouldn't be to bad for him. 2 years would seem right, if it's 3, it'd go up into the 2.2 range.

Anisimov should come in at about $2M per. Two year deal which includes 1 year of arbitration. Berglund got 2 years/$2.5M. Voracek signed for 1 year $2.25M. Pacioretty signed for 2 years/$3.25M and had he hasn't played a full NHL season. Dubinsky received 2 years/$3.7M in the same spot two years ago. Group II with no arb rights.

Maybe 2-3 years out from now... Right now AA & Stepan are too inexperienced to match up against the teams with more experienced and higher end centers.

A first, two second, and a third line center. Not too shabby. Rupp is the 4th line center if Boyle or Step gets moved to the wing for the season.

Is what it will be they're not going to mess with the Pack line IMO so Wolski gets a shot as 1st line LW unless we can make a deal which I see as very possible if not likely.

I still think that Step has a very decent IQ that warrants a center position. Hate to see Step go to wing.
