Read is on a one way contract. He will in the starting lineup
What? If the Flyers were a team with a limited budget than I would see a correlation. The reason Read probably has a oen way contract is because that's what it took to get him to sign with the Flyers (so he could make the full value of his deal even if he was playing in the AHL).
"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.
From the way he makes it sound, it sounds like he's with people he knows and that makes him feel good. And considering how much Philly history is involved with the players and managements there, they pretty much are the Philadelphia of the West Coast.
Even though all three played in different cities last season, the brotherly love flowed freely between the likely linemates this weekend.
"I'm really good friends with Justin. We kept in touch when he got traded to Carolina," Gagne said. "We kind of kept in touch last year, all year long. He texted me yesterday that L.A. could be a good fit, that they were looking for a left winger, and he was kind of pushing for me to sign in L.A.
Today, I had a chance to talk to Mike Richards this morning, and it was the same thing on his side. He said, `You know, we could play again on the same line and do all the good stuff we did in Philly in the past.'
"I kind of got excited a little bit and I know that my agent and the Kings were talking at the same time."
