Obviously these last 4 games help bigtime. But we have been one of the top offenses this year. Damn, Don Kelly shoulda started.

Save some for tomorrow against Verlander, cause we're going to need it. Hopefully, they can keep it going against him, but it's not very likely. Verlander has been a buzz saw for batters this season.

He wont. Looks like he'll be back following series against Indians.

2.5 game division lead for Yanks. Boston up against Hamels tommorow. Next 3 weeks could be huge for Yanks ... weekend series against Mets, 3 game road trip to Cleveland, 4 game home series against Rays then an 8 game road trip to Toronto and Tampa. 14 out of next 18 are on the road.

This is standard procedure for the Yankees going on, what? Seventeen years?

They start kinda slow, play .500 against the good teams, get owned by the BoSox through April and May, and then you look up on August 1 and they have a 5 or 6 game lead.

I see the Yankees cooling off a bit but I'm more worried about Tampa than Boston. But if they split with the Rays, I'll be happy.

The Yankees have gotten absolutely nothing from Joba, Soriano and Feliciano, and have the best bullpen in the American League. Their starting pitching isn't too shabby as well.

This might be Girardi's best season as a Yankee, and thats including 2009.

Sorry to ruin everyone's Richards high, but Reyes just left the game. I know most on these boards are Mets fans, so bad news there

EDIT: The report is stiffness in the left hamstring, our for "precautionary reasons".

Just cause its the Mets, I expect this Reyes issue to nag for the rest of the year. How can you expect otherwise.

But I pray its nothing, and will heal with a few days off. Lets go Mets.

And like Machinehead said, are majority of these boards really Met fans? I have noticed its always a lot of Met talk here, but just weird considering usually NYR-NYY have mutual fans.

Yeah I found that a little weird, but I don't mind the Mets fans I find them very knowledgeable and passionate.

Gee lost it. Tough break for the kid he was going strong. You can't give this lineup an inch.

Rough loss, but 13-5 vs the NL, and they are still playing great. Colon coming back like he never left, and Hughes on Wednesday, can't complain with the stretch they have been on here.

Seriously. Have to feel good for the guy to have a reason to be so happy even if his contract is ridiculous.

Hopefully we can get back above .500 and stay there. I'd like to end the season above .500 where we keep Reyes so I actually have something to look forward to next year.

Huge hit for Bay who has been playing very solid ball for a couple weeks. Hopefully this gets him going in terms of production.
