But I see in the east, the # 1-6 will def make the playoffs, 7-11 will all fight for a playoff spot, and 12-15 could be a different order, but wont make the playoffs

I think the Sens sneak into the playoffs on Anderson's back, similar to how Colorado did a couple years ago.
First round exit likely.

<---- not sold on Reimer for a full season. Young goalies get found out quick in this league (Varlamov is the most obvious example I can think of - he was a monster his first playoffs, but the season is a grind and once players have a chance to build a book on a goalie the results change) and I don't think Toronto has a good enough team to overcome that.
2 things I see in a lot of people's list. NJD and Buffalo. While Boston won the cup last year Buffalo helped their d drastically (theey took the division the year before) and outplayed Boston during the second half of the season last year. THey could be in that 2-3 seed next year.
Why are people so big on New Jersey? The goaltending is iffy, Even with Parise the forwards are lackluster (Kovy is a cancer).... their defense is good but PP isn't productive? Can't see how people rate them over Buffalo, NYR, Montreal, Tampa and Philly.
I think 7 of the playoff spots are going to Washington, Pittsburg, Buffalo, Boston, NYR, Tampa, and Montreal...... with Toronto, Carolina and New Jersey fighting for #8

We're depending on the growing pains of whatever rookies we end up icing and the consistency of the sophomores...We'll see, but this is how I think it could turn out. Though teams 7 - 12 are pretty much interchangeable.

The biggest thing with Ottawa is that its a huge team of unknowns.
What if coaching doesn't pan out well here, what if we have injuries to our main guys like we usually do, can anderson really carry a team again.
Almost everything in Ottawa is new. How can you predict them to be great, when pretty much its a team of new players that have never played together, including coaching staff.
I'm not going to set myself up for a disappointment. Ottawa will be closer to the bottom UNLESS we have a lot of IF's come true. And I mean, A LOT! (Anderson plays well, Spezza uninjured + ppg, Alfie leads team and stays healthy, Michalek plays well, Karlsson and Gonchar have good years, one D prospect has a good year, 2 forward prospects break out). If all that happens, I see Ottawa making the playoffs.

There was a lot wrong with Colorado than just goaltending. I also like how you completely discredit his previous year where he carried the Avs into the playoffs.I have much more faith in Anderson's .913 in 231 games than Reimer's .921 in 37 games.
Before you get ahead of yourself, consider that Elliott did a respectable job in his first season as well.

Did bother checking out his play as a backup? His numbers are stellar; had he not been stuck behind Vokoun he would have been a starter earlier in his career.
In 8 seasons, he has only had a sub .915 sv% 4 times. The first three times were his first three in the league, so if you discount those as learning the trade, he has only had 1 bad season out of his last 5.
Better yet, rather than look at his stats, watch him play.

I'm with you a 100% There's no way the 11-12 sens edition can be has bad as the 10-11 edition.

Colorado was in playoff position for half the season with Anderson in net. They were 8th when they traded him. Lol...
