I wouldn't. As good as Price was last year, you're possibly getting a generational talent in Doughty along with a good young goaltender in Bernier.

Having Subban and Doughty on our backend would be beyond incredible.

I made a dynasty in NHL 10 with those 2 on my team.

Doughty's got nothing on Subban. I'll make a bold prediction. Subban'll win a Norris before he does.

I don't disagree with the statement on Dougty but Montreal alredy has Subban who's almost as good.
Price is head over heels better then BErnier.

You can't win without a goalie

See Washington and Philly in most recent years.
Without Thomas Boston doesn't get by Montreal.

I'm a big fan of Price, but that's crazy IMO. If LA somehow offered us that deal, I'd be driving Price to the airport.

Price is more proven in the NHL than that of Bernier, plus Bernier comes into the fishbowl of Frano-Media and the pressure is higher on him than that of Price if you can believe that.

Doughty is really good (he and Subban would be sick), but you look at Subban and he will be that type of Dman too. Doughty to me looks like a kid you who doesn't train hard, and I have read that and heard that too. Subban's dedication to the game is second to none.

I like Price too much to do this, if he goes to LA they still have to trade Quick too.

Bernier & Doughty for Price?

Hell yeah. We'd be crazy not to do it, especially with Carey's history in Montreal (he might just jet it some day)...

My only concern with Price is not his talent or capabilities to repeat and do better than last season, but to know IF he is interested to stay in Montreal and play for the Habs for a fair amount of years. I see him signing elsewhere as soon as he becomes a UFA. I have a feeling that he would prefer playing out West.

Not sure Price is this way, but it is also something I fear he might do.

I think LA would want someone added. No way it's Gorges unless there's another piece involved from LA. I'd say Weber since he's also a righty and the value seems adequate.

Doughty-Bernier vs Price-Weber

Still like Price's size over Bernier. Berneir is a smaller 5'11" and Price is 6'3" and they are only a year apart in age (Price on year older, but also 174 more games experience + playoffs).

Price will sign long term next season, no UFA worries.

We're going to have to pay good value to keep him, that's for sure.

He'll be looking for Bryzgalov-Luongo type money.

If he keeps playing the way he did last year, he can have that type of deal I wouldn't mind

We would have Subban, Doughty and Bernier which would make us even better

How do you know Bernier makes us better with 32 games NHL experience?

Adding a player like Doughty will not make you worse that's for sure, can you imagine of a better top 3 then Markov, Subban and Doughty?

Bernier doesn't have much experience but from what we have seen he hasn't look that bad and should keep developing in a really good goalie

Well Doughty would instantly become our no1 defensemen and ensure none of Spacek, Gill or Gorges are not our no3D

Is that an improvement

Never disagreed with that, but we would also be making a move like taking out a Spacek or Gill and replacing him with a Doughty, should be a little easier for the goalie

He was a Norris finalist and made Team Canada before he turned 22. I think we can overlook a bad season.

Yeah but even to suggest the Kings would offer this trade for another starter while having Quick makes it funny.

You always build a team from the net out
That being said, why would you ever want to get rid of Price?
