Yandle to the CBJ

What would it take to get Keith Yandle to Columbus.
I was thinking maybe Brass or Vermette/Russell and maybe a 3rd round pick

You thought wrong.

It would cost Vermette + 1st + most likely.

No. Seriously? "My concussed, struggling young center and a 3rd round pick for your teams best player.'

Hmm.. Yandle had a great year and is young (not that Brassard isn't). It would probably be Brassard + pick and maybe prospect (depending on the pick). I think Phoenix would avoid salary as much as possible.

I'm not sure how much interest the Jackets would have after just signing the Wiz though.

Would take more than Brassard + 3rd.

Coyotes already rode the Brassard train. His name was Peter Mueller. Don't want him. Vermette, sure, but not the type of asset you'd want as the main return for a player like Yandle.

Phoenix would love a scoring winger and #1C.

You do realize that Brassard hasn't had a concussion, right? And neither has Vermette.

Try Brassard, Vermette and a 1st. And maybe keep adding.

Please do not embarrass us by trying to ask for Yandle without Johansen involved.

These two posts demonstrate an alarming capacity for misinformation.

Neither Brassard nor Vermette has ever been concussed. Brassard has never had skating issues like Mueller. Brassard, unlike Mueller, has a very consistent work ethic. Brassard, in point of fact, is still quite capable of playing the center position and playing it well, unlike Mueller. To compare the two is, frankly, silly.

All that aside, however, that is still an absolutely ridiculous offer for Yandle and should never have been offered.

So Brassard wasn't concussed against the Hawks? Honest question.

To the best of my knowledge and that of The Hockey News, no. He's had occasional problems with hand injuries, and had that infamous shoulder injury during his rookie year, but no, no concussions.

See for yourself:

EDIT: Looked up the incident you seemed to be referring to. "Concussion" was a fantasy hockey speculation as to why he had issues with nausea. He's had no such problems since.

It was a bad offer, but this is just as bad.

I'd love to see Yandle in Columbus. Johansen would definitely have to be involved I'd imagine.

No idea what you are talking about, Brassard dislocated his shoulder two years ago and broke his finger this year.. Thats all hes had injury wise.

He's also gotten a bad hit or two to the hand from blocked shots and the like. One or two games max each time - you know, pretty much Standard Hockey Player Injuries.

Wow, that is a really weak offer.

Maybe Brassard or Vermette? Did I miss the part where you also said Johansen?
