I'm just saying, this is what the quoted song calls for. The bar was set, might as well hold Bryz to that standard.

Bryz will be 60-0; all shutouts.
Bob will be 22-0; all 1 goal games, no shutouts.

He'll lose his first six games, lose the starting job to Bob/Whoever and never again set foot on NHL ice.

I just hope people don't bail on him after 1 game. Even if we lose badly. We got some new chemistry to gel before it all clicks together, IMO. That said, I believe bryz can be just what the doctor. I can't believe we kept Bob to back him up though, that kinda stunts bob's growth IMO... should have kept boosh and traded bob for loot.

I'm expecting 10-12 goals, around 20 assists and a +15. That should replace some of Carter's scoring.

Oh, and a GAA around 2.10, a SV% of .925, 43 wins and 4 shutouts.

EDIT: And the Conn Smythe.

How can he possibly be expected to win the Conn Smythe if he's going to replace Carter's scoring, eh? Puts on the invisibility jersey EVERY SINGLE SPRING GOD DAMN IT

for every game this season they lose, as long as I'm not yellling at the TV screen,
" how the **** did you let that one get by you, you moron " " you can't stop a beachball "
then, i'll know the team and goalie did fine
and I fully expect, I won't have to yell that out this year.

I can't recall how many times I yelled that out last season, but.......i'm HOPING to keep my blood pressure down and enjoy watching the games again

hehe

Maybe you should check your facts before making ignorant blanket statements. I don't ***** and moan about every move.

If you disagree with me, try to prove me wrong. Go ahead! Show me how often it is that good teams blow up their roster for younger, inexperienced talent, and go on to be better next season.

All I'm saying is that Bryz is going to have a hard time behind this team. They're all new to each other, they need to develop chemistry, and on top of that this team's defense has taken major blows this offseason. What's so wrong with that?

This here is a guy who probably thought the team in 2006 -07 was a cup contender. Move along.

I am expecting something in the neighborhood of 42 wins and 60 starts. What are Bryz's shootout statistics?

I think he will steal some games that we otherwise should have lost. I think he will be a big part of the reason our team does as well as I hope it will do since all the changes.

As long as Bryz doesn't look completely schooled on EVERY deke thrown at him out there, he should at least make shootouts at the very least winable for us.

They HAVE to be better than what Bob/Boosh gave us. At this point, that's good enough for me. It'll be nice seeing some new faces in shootouts too.

Here's some fun statistics:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/teamstats.htm...outTeamSummary

Last year Pheonix had the most shootout wins (14). The Flyers were 22nd with (4).

Those stats are from the 2009-2010 season, 2 years ago. Last year, PHX had 5 shoot out wins. Either way, Bryz is an absolute upgrade over the circus we've been dealing with. I simply cannot wait for our first shut out...the confidence those types of wins generate alone will catapult us into a much stronger team mentally.

I'm going to say top 10 in sv% and gaa, and closer to the top if the defense can stay healthy. I may not be crazy about the $$$ he is making, but it will be fun/different to watch a goalie who has the real ability to be a game changer in net for the Flyers.
