Hmmmmm, so who takes his spot, Kampfer?

Our D is really really shallow right now, we need to sign or trade for someone before the season starts that is able to be a second pairing D man.

Based on his play in Boston, I don't give him 4.25 per for 3 years.

Whos left now that Kaberle and Yandle are off the market?

$4.25 for Kaberle a little overpaid but not insanely overpaid.
Looks like Kampfer will slot in.

This pleases me. Thank you Kaberle for helping us win the Cup (as if he's going to read this lol), but I didn't want you back.

All the Caneiacs can dust off those Frantisek Kaberle jerseys and repurpose them!

in all honesty 3 is an overpayment for what this guy showed defensively here in boston. Soft, defensively liable, aging d-man.

Ok so unless we don't make any moves I can already hear the far cry for a PMD by the trade deadline now, let's just hope a couple of teams that are out of the playoff picture will trade their pretty good D man to us much like the case two years ago with Seids.

Thats probably why people consider more than 50 games out of a 900 game career.

I think we'll pick up a veteran in addition to Kampfer. Need 7 defensemen to make it through a season.

Kampher's got Warsofsky, Alexandrov, Hamilton, Button, Cohen, Bartowski and Cross right behind him

Seriously though - we have like $11 million in cap space now - make a move of some sort.......maybe they have a trade in their back pocket for a D-man

Is it really any surprise that he'd go there? No pressure, no fans to get on him about his subpar defensive play, and no real chance of making the playoffs. It's perfect for a guy who hates to perform under pressure. Have fun in Whalervilles, Tomas. Thank god the B's held a hardline regarding the possibility of resigning you.

Maybe his skill set will be a better fit in Carolina's system. Good luck to him, and thanks for a few decent moments here and there in the playoffs.
